Neck and shoulder tension doesn’t always stay in the neck and shoulders.
Many muscles around the neck and shoulders connect to the base of the skull, including the trapezius.
Beneath the surface are deeper muscles that support and move the head and neck.
That’s why I don’t simply massage where you feel tight. I consider how the muscles connect and the direction they run.
At Optimum K Japanese Head Spa, I treat the head, neck and shoulders as one connected area — helping the whole area relax, not just the scalp.
